4.Delete Everything inside this folder.

Note: If you get a Folder Access Denied error, simply click Continue. Right-click on the Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe folder and uncheck the Read-only option. Click Apply followed by OK and again see if you’re able to delete the content of this folder.

5.Press Windows Key + Q then type powershell then right-click on Windows PowerShell and select Run as Administrator.

  1. No matter what I read, for days, resulted in the same exact thing after forcing Edge to close: multiple windows opened. No suggested fixes worked. I auto-time a taskkill command, and auto-open another site (recording while away), and no comments or suggestions helped. My results were the same as the others all over the Internet reporting this same Edge issue. So, I tried new things, and fixed it. Go to history (Ctrl-H or upper right menu), select “Clear history,” then select “On” to “Always clear this when I close browser.” Done. Problem solved.

  2. Never buying PC again. These steps didn’t work. I’ve gone through several sites with similar steps and nothing. All week long.
