Fix ERR_TUNNEL_CONNECTION_FAILED error in Google Chrome
If your internet connection has some proxy settings, that restricts to load the website, then you can receive the error 111: Net::ERR_TUNNEL_CONNECTION_FAILED in chrome. You have to disable proxy settings to resolve this error.
This is caused because Chrome is unable to render the proxy response for some sites. You should consider rendering a Safe HTML removing scripts from HTML or Plain text message only stripping all HTML /Script tags may result in nonaesthetic page however it is safe.
The issue is where internal, trusted proxies, sending a customized error message such as a page blocking message, and such customized error is not rendered ending up with an arbitrary error message at the client end no way that end point can understand why original request wasn’t retrieved.
Fix ERR_TUNNEL_CONNECTION_FAILED error in Google Chrome:
Method 1: Change your network settings
1.Go to the Chrome menu and click on settings.
2.Scroll down till you see “show advanced settings” and make sure you click on it.
3.Go to Network section and click on “Change proxy settings.”
4.Click on “LAN settings” inside connections tab.
5.Finally checkmark Automatically detect settings, then click OK and then Apply.
6.Restart your PC to apply changes.
Method 2: Try resetting your TCP/IP and flushing your DNS.
1.Right click on Windows button and select “Command Prompt(Admin).”
2.Type the following commands in cmd:
ipconfig /flushdns nbtstat –r netsh int ip reset netsh winsock reset
3.Restart your computer.
Method 3: Basic Troubleshooting
a)Make sure Chrome is updated. Click the Chrome menu, then Help and select About Google Chrome. Chrome will check for updates and click Relaunch to apply any available update.
b)Delete your cache and cookies. Click the Chrome menu, then select History. Now click “Clear browsing data” and in the pop up make sure you select “the beginning of time” and click Clear browsing data.
c)Reset your browser settings. Click the Chrome menu, then select Settings, Show advanced settings and under the section “Reset settings,” click Reset settings.
d)Try using Chrome in incognito mode.
